Upgrading the App

Wondering how to update or download the LCU mobile banking App to your mobile phone, iPad or Tablet?

Your LCU mobile banking App can be updated through your respective Google Play Store (for Android devices) or App Store (Apple devices). The instructions below should cover all mobile and tablet devices.

Android Devices 

Google Play Store:

 

  1. Go to your google play store and type in LCU Banking App to the search menu
  2.  Tap the download button or if already installed, choose update
  3. Wait for the App to download/update
  4. Login to the LCU Banking App

 

Another way you can do this:

  1. Go to your Profile in your Google Play Store, typically found in the top right corner of the Google Play Store App
  2. Choose Manage Apps and Device
  3. Choose updates available and find the LCU Banking App or go to Manage and find the LCU Banking App from the listing provided.
  4. Press into the LCU Banking App and select update
  5. Login to the LCU Banking App

 

Apple Devices

App Store:

  1. Go to your App Store and type in LCU Banking App to the search menu
  2. Press on the App for more details
  3. Tap the download button or if already installed, choose update
  4. Wait for the App to download/update
  5. Login to the LCU Banking App

 

Another way you can do this:

  1. Go to your Profile in your App store, typically found in the top right corner of the App Store
  2. Choose from the listing “Apps” (please note that depending on your device you may need to select “My Apps” on the next screen)
  3. Scroll & find the LCU banking app
  4. Select update
  5. Login to the LCU Banking App

 

Membership number and Password

Wondering how to login to the LCU Mobile banking App

Can’t remember your membership number?

Call LCU on (02) 9859 0585 and we will help you login for the first time.

Can’t remember your Password? 

If you don’t know your internet banking password, simply select “Forgot password”.

Enter your Membership Number and Date of Birth.

Select the red button: “Send SMS code” and enter the code sent to your mobile and create your new password. 

Can’t login with a previously set PIN, Pattern or Face ID?

If you try your PIN, pattern or Face ID and it declines you should press “Forgot your PIN” Or “Forgot your Pattern”

Login with your Membership number and password and reset your PIN, Pattern or FaceID or TouchID.

If you updated the App and it did not remember your PIN, Pattern or FaceID then you just need to login with your Membership number and password and set up your PIN, Pattern or FaceID or TouchID.

I set up FaceID or TouchID, why am I being asked to enter in a PIN or Pattern?

We have introduced a security measure in place which applies to FaceID & TouchID login

When you first login with FaceID and TouchID after updating the App, you may be required to also apply a PIN or Pattern as an added security measure. This doesn’t happen on all devices but may have happened to yours.

Setting this PIN or Pattern provides a primary method in case your FaceID or TouchID (phone biometrics) are not available or are blocked by the device. Biometrics are considered a secondary form of ID because they can be removed from your device independent of the App, which could leave you stranded! This is why the App will only ask once, so make sure you set a secure PIN or Pattern that you can remember.
