Getting a Visa Debit Card with LCU is as easy as calling, requesting it online or emailing our branch. See below for further information
The LCU Visa Debit card imposes transaction limits for each service at Merchant Terminals, also referred to as Point of Sale Terminals (POS), EFTPOS Machines (EFT) and Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs).

Eftpos, Savings, and ATM withdrawal limits are inclusive of one another and can be utilised at any merchant terminal (POS & EFT Machines) or ATM. Simply insert your card and enter your Visa debit PIN to complete the transaction.
The Visa Debit or Credit option are exclusively for use at Merchant Terminals POS Machines, where you must insert your card and enter your Visa debit PIN to finalize the transaction. This function is not available at ATMs.
The PayWave limit is a predetermined limit and may be encompassed within the Eftpos/Savings limits. To utilise this feature, simply tap your card on a Merchant Terminal/POS Machine to finalize a transaction. For amounts exceeding $100, entering your PIN may be necessary. PayWave also has a "tap" limit, allowing you to tap your card only up to 20 times in a single day.

Certain ATMs and Merchant Terminals (POS and Eftpos) may apply fees to transactions, such as a surcharge or a fixed transaction fee. These fees are determined by the merchants and ATM owners, LCU is unable to inform you about the associated fees. If you require a fee free ATM, the Big 4 Banks do provide fee free withdrawals by their ATMs.
You should also consult the LCU's fees and charges for potential costs associated with transaction processing by the LCU Visa debit card.

Payments made by your LCU Visa Debit card can be cancelled by contacting the merchant or alternatively you can request a new card. Please be advised that fees and charges apply for early replacement of Visa debit cards, please view our fees and charges in our Disclosure documents page.
